Local Activities

Dining
There are dozens of fine restaurants in Los Cabos, covering a range of cuisines, styles and milieus. There are elegant white-tablecloth restaurants, as well as street side bistros; "hacienda restaurants" with dancing and live local music; casual beachside eateries and funky little snack shacks.

The flavors of Italy, France and the Americas are well represented, and several popular spots feature the regional Mexican cuisine that is a "must-taste" for any visitor. Local seafood is highly-regarded, and appears on menus from restaurants of every description.

Dining is one of the most delicious treats of any Mexico visit. Mexican cuisine is delightfully diverse, strongly regional and almost always bold (although not necessarily hot) in flavor. Since Mexico spans several climatic zones, the types of food available vary greatly from region to region. Mexico's jumbled topography has limited the "homogenization" of dishes in terms of their ingredients and preparation.

What's a favorite on the coast may be unavailable further inland. Herein lies the allure of dining in Mexico. Remember, Mexican cuisine (much like its history) has been strongly influenced by foreign countries. Spanish, French, and North American practices intermingled with the nation's century-old Pre-Columbian culinary heritage, producing a rich blend of dishes that are copied and envied around the world.

As to ingredients, the world can thank Mexico and Central America for beans, corn, squash, tomatoes, jicama, chocolate, avocado, papaya, guava, vanilla, dozens of spices, and of course, chile peppers.

Nightlife
After dinner, Cabo comes alive at exciting nightclubs like Cabo Wabo (which regularly features big-name music acts), The Iguana Bar & Grill, The Giggling Marlin, the Rio Grill, and El Squid Roe. For those in search of a little US-style glamour, there's Hard Rock Cafe. Many Los Cabos hotels, too, have clubs and bars that attract visitors and locals from all over the area.

Daylight Activities
In addition to the onsite activities offered by Casa de Koehler (Swimming, Volleyball, Relaxing, etc...), Cabo San Lucas provides something for everyone. Popular Cabo passtimes include:

Historic San Jose Del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas, Todos Santos, El Arco (Land's End), Scenic Beaches, Whale Watching, Sailing, Bay Cruises, Snorkeling/Diving, Hiking, Golf, Tennis, Fishing, Kayaking, Wildlife Viewing, Horseback Riding, Shopping, Surfing, Parasailing and Jet Skiing.
